Hampton Roads Cyber
Security Awareness Conference |
National Cyber Security Awareness Month
October has been designated as
National Cyber Security Awareness Month to bring attention to the importance
of protecting yourself, your family and your information online.
The National Security Cyberspace
Institute and the
City of
Hampton are co-hosting the
Hampton Roads Cyber
Security Awareness Conference on Tuesday, October 21st at the
Hampton Roads Convention
Center. The purpose of this conference is to focus attention on cyber
security. Awareness presentations are scheduled that will share cyber
security information directly related to Hampton Roads businesses, academic
institutes, and individuals and emphasize the importance of cyber security and
the adverse consequences of its failure. Today's highly networked systems
environment requires nothing less than our nation's best effort to protect the
confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. "Thinking
security" should be a natural reflex for information technology users in the
21st century.
Registration
(Fee of $75) is
required and we encourage you to
register early as
attendance is limited.
Please
email or call us (757
871-3578) for additional information.
